Happy Green Button Day

Happy Patricks day everyone  …….

Got a text this morning wishing me a Happy GREEN day, so in turn I have turned that into Happy Green button day!

I had the luxury yesterday of having some time to play! In the studio and look what was born. My very own little Button  man.

Not sure what I am going to do with him yet but he will hang out in the studio with me for now.

After all he has the Button theme under his skin already!

My Office !

For the last while I have been very lucky to be busy getting out lots of new trade orders to lovely new shops which I love. I have been working quite hard for the last couple of months but when you see the pictures above I think you will agree if you had to spend allot of time in a office you would pick mine.

It is a lovely place to work full of colour and light. I am currently trying to organise myself a little better so i will show you soon the finished product but I thought I would just give you a little taste.

Avoca has things all Buttoned up

Well as you may have guessed by now I don’t hate buttons !

So it is safe to say that I really don’t hate the quirky new button collection in Avoca right now. I have to admit i do nearly have the full set but I did have to draw the line at the Button Wellington’s and matching rain mac, they could just be a button to far !

Tea with the president at Áras an Uachtaráin

On the 26th of January President Mary McAleese, (patron of Year of Craft 2011) held a reception in Aras an Uachtarain to celebrate Year of Craft 2011..

Little old me was lucky enough to get a invite. We all where warmly welcomed and had a wonderful time drinking tea and eating cake while trying very hard not to spill any crumbs on the carpet !

We all left with a little spring in our step proud of the fact that out little contribution to Irish craft was recognised in such a simple but lovely way .
